Open Season
As part of our openings programme we will convert 5 businesses before the end of 2010.
These new businesses give existing management and teams the opportunity to take on the challenge of setting up a new pub. After planning, finances are all approved and our genius design team start drawing up plans and ideas on how the new business should look. After a usual six week closure period the builders move out and we move in. During this period, busying away in the background, marketing, recruitment and training are all being taken care of.
Kitchen design is very important to the success of our conversion as we need to be built for speed, volume and flexibility.
Ideally new Head Chefs joining the company need to have a minimum of four weeks' training in one of our benchmark pubs. Here chefs will be taught systems and processes that have helped us become market leaders.
New Sous Chefs are also expected to be up to speed with these systems as well and will need a minimum three week training period.
Launching one of our new pubs requires a huge amount of passion, energy and commitment. It will test the resolve of some of our most skilled and experienced people. However the rewards of success are huge: the satisfaction of putting one these stunning pubs on the map, and delivering great food service in a beautiful surrounding.
